After visually inspecting GripTight MAX® Test Plug Seal, replace the seal if it is damaged or degraded. Be sure not to introduce any lubricant to the seal surface. After GripTight MAX® Test Plugs have been removed from storage or prior to initial use, the test plugs should be inspected and cleaned/lubricated as needed to ensure proper function during pressure testing. Fully read and understand the operating instructions prior to installation and pressure testing.

After visually inspecting GripTight MAX® Patented Dual-Serrated Grippers, replace the Gripper Assembly if Grippers are damaged or degraded. Clean and lubricate the cone prior to installing the new Gripper Assembly.
After the completion of a pressure test and prior to storage, GripTight MAX® Test Plug components should be thoroughly inspected, cleaned, and lubricated. Ensure to repackage the test plug with the instructions and store the test plug in a cool/dry location. Replace any worn or damaged components prior to storage.
